Body Extension
This project was to create a physical extension of our identity and our personality. I chose to focus on my identity’s relationship to social spaces.
The open fan represents my ideal self: one who is outgoing and flamboyant.
The half-closed fan is a recognition of the fact that I am also an introvert. I need time away from people to center and ground myself.
The completely closed fan represents how those distancing actions can sometimes go too far and lead to isolation.
